As women we wear so many hats. What hat do you feel is the hardest to wear and why?

The hat that I feel is the hardest to wear would be being a GOOD Wife and a Woman in Ministry. Being a good wife and a woman in ministry goes hand in hand because my home life has to reflect/line up with my spiritual walk. It's hard adhering to the task of being a wife as well as a woman in ministry. Having the title as a minister's wife or a woman in ministry in general is a title that is sometimes over rated because of the simple fact we are held to a higher standard than others. Granted if we are working in Ministry then our lives should reflect that; however, we are human beings and have feelings, struggle, and hurt just like other women. It's just that we have a bigger source to rely on to get us through. Our job is to show the way to women who have not given their life to Christ.

Kim you are so on point. Being a good wife is a growth process just as developing as a woman in ministry. At home we start the act of service. If I can't serve my husband in our home then how can I make it a point to try to serve the Pastor. A good wife/woman in ministry meets the needs of her home first and then she continues to serve as the Lord guides. It's not so much the title, but the heart of that woman. As our Apostle says: What God Ordains He will maintain.

I was meditating today and I asked the Lord; Lord why do so many women struggle to wear the "Hat of Acceptance"? Do they not know just how special they are? So many women continue to struggle with the labels that were placed upon them when they were young that it has been hard to let go of who they thought they were. This is a hat that is securely place upon a woman and she walks with confidence. Self-esteem is the core supply used to cultivate acceptance. But where does acceptance start? With you! You will always have those who do not or will not like you for some reason or another, but "YOU" have to accept yourself for yourself. Whatever you look like, whatever size you are, whatever your skin tone, hair length, status, education, family, etc, you have to accept you. As girls you hear other girls talk about cuteness or being beautiful. Especially for African American girls who see that the status of being accepted is by your hair length and skin tone. Of all the people I know, I know me. I know what I like and what makes me feel good. You cannot upset me because "you" don't think I measure up. I accept the beauty that I am, the intelligent woman I have grown to become, the trusted wife that I am, the secure woman that trusts God for what is next. Free yourself and be delivered. It's time we as women support, encourage, love, and help our fellow sisters. We're connected to see a manifestation of God in our lives.
